Agnès welcomes you to her donkey sanctuary and invites children to come and take care of the animals and discover the some of the skills a vet or a veterinary nurse needs.

For whole morning, the children will actively participate in the life of the farm.

Get to know the way animals see the world

Agnès welcomes all-comers to discover life on her farm.

Brushing the donkeys, stroking the rabbits, feeding the goats – you’ll participate in the many different activities of the sanctuary.

Learn to handle the animals and understand how they feel, in order to take better care of them. You’ll discover the essential needs of our animal friends and realize that they’re not so different from our own.

Bois-Gamats Donkey Sanctuary and farm

Just outside the town, overlooking the river, on the edge of a forest walking path popular with Laval residents and not far from the château, is the Bois-Gamats Donkey Sanctuary and Farm.

A farm populated, obviously, by donkeys, but also by chickens, rabbits, pigs and Angora goats.

Agnès and her team take care of this menagerie and invite you to discover the animals through lots of different activities such as donkey rides or making soap from asses’ milk!
