This trail, which can be walked all year round, takes you along a beautiful path with its landscapes, small valleys and hillsides. You'll also be walking on a historic trail, as it was a thousand years ago that the Abbayette, the oldest endowment of Mont-Saint-Michel in Maine, welcomed the tired "powdery feet" of pilgrims on their way to Mont-Saint-Michel.

Departure point - Place de l'église. Walk down towards the crossroads and along the lake (from the route de La Tannière to the route de Landivy). After a hundred metres or so on the D102 (old mill on the bend), turn left towards L'Angotière and continue along the dirt track to Bas-Valandré.
At Bas-Valandré, follow the tarmac road for 200 m, then turn left at a bend into a sunken track that leads to La Barbotière. Opposite the La Barbotière exit, take the track that leads to La Fourmondais, along a wooded embankment.
Continue straight on towards La Piffetière, crossing the D102. At the entrance to the village, turn right towards a succession of tiered groves.
Pass the old hamlet of Quesle and turn right onto the D 515. At La Longueraie, turn left along a pretty dirt track and the small shady road that follows the La Rouairie stream. Turn left onto the small road to La Taille-Ferrière, skirting the fence in a meadow. After 150 m of tarmac road, take a dirt track on the right that leads back to La Dorée.
On this track, you can either turn right to go straight into the village (short cut), or turn left to join the D116, which you follow on the left for 100 metres before taking a dirt track on the right at Croix Courtais. Follow this track around to return to the church.
You can take a short cut from Valandré to reach La Bayette and the Taillis de la Boiserie.
