The bocage is a strong mark of the identity of Mayenne. It is essentially made up of hedges on embankments. Hedges have always had the function of protecting and isolating areas, regulating the movement of people and animals and preventing them from wandering through meadows and fields. Many paths owe their existence to hedges. This network of paths, often hollowed out in the relief, threaded its way through numerous ramifications.
A PR approved by the Comité départemental de la randonnée pédestre is a recognised quality route (varied landscapes, limited percentage of tarmac and presence of natural or historical curiosities) that meets the following conditions
