Cathédrale Notre-Dame de la Trinité

Place Hardy de Lévaré, 53000 Laval
The Trinity Church was built near the Laval chateau, in 1070, by the Couture du Mans monks.
The Trinity Church, nowadays Cathedral, has been built not far from the castle, in 1070, by monks coming from 'La Couture' in Le Mans.

The building has been profoundly rearranged over the centuries. It has only been granted the title of cathedral in 1855.

That is the reason why it shows a quite mixed architecture (vestiges of romanesque style, gothic, renaissance, baroque...)

Discover the different stages of transformation and its precious furniture : some altarpieces, statues, furenal...
