Awakening your senses

MANAS is a unique venue dedicated to Naïve and Singular Arts, housed in the Château de Laval. At once a place of discovery, artistic practice and creativity, the many activities on offer from the age of 18 months facilitate the relationship between the work and the public. Guided tours, board games, giant Cluedo, creative workshops, musical discovery, hide-and-seek with Manas wildlife and a family escape game: a colorful program to discover art.

Immerse yourself in a fabulous universe
at musée départemental Robert Tatin
It’s a curious museum, and one that children will be delighted to discover in Cossé-le-Vivien. Robert Tatin devoted 20 years of his life to this, tirelessly shaping his house and garden, inspired by his travels, artistic influences and convictions. The friendly dragon head around the meditation garden will amuse the little ones. Interactive tours adapted to children are organized during the school vacations.
In addition to tours, the Robert Tatin Museum also offers creative and artistic activities to awaken children’s senses. They’re designed for the whole family, young and not-so-young alike. Workshops include creating a mobile from coloured paper and modelling little dragons from clay.
Practical information: Outdoor tour suitable for baby carriages. Activities during school vacations, on reservation.
Science in all its guises
At the Zoom, a centre for scientific culture
Fascinating, amusing and sometimes even intimidating, science intrigues. At Le Zoom in Laval, science is at the heart of the museum. With exhibitions, creative workshops, lectures, shows and scientific experiments, there are 1001 ways to experience science.
From the exact sciences to the humanities and social sciences, we explore it in all its forms: love, equality between girls and boys, fruit and vegetables, dinosaurs and sleep have all been explored. And because our curiosity knows no bounds, the interactive exhibitions change every 4 months. Enough to satisfy even the most curious!
The little extra: the museum is located right next to the Perrine garden, the ideal place for a picnic before or after discovering the Zoom.
Practical information: The recommended minimum age varies according to the exhibition, so don’t hesitate to contact the museum. The Zoom is a happy museum, and has signed the Môm’art charter.
