In the 1980s, a golfer came up with the idea of making golf simpler. He invented a 3-sided club and a soft ball and designed courses on grass that had been left a little longer! Swin golf was created as an enjoyable game for golf lovers who were not able to participate in the standard game because of its technical demands and the cost.

Swin golf is included in the French Golf Federation.
There are several courses in Mayenne that are well enough recognised and appreciated to regularly host the French championships.
